A four-year starting center for Clemson, Kyle Young led the Tigers to a 25-22 record and a 49-24 victory over Louisiana Tech in the 2001 Humanitarian Bowl. A two-time Third Team All-American and All-ACC selection, he was a two-time finalist for the Rimington Trophy as the nation’s top center. A three-time recipient of the team’s Dedication Award, Young ranks third in school history in career snaps (3,097) and single-season snaps (919). A three-time Academic All-American and All-ACC selection, he received the ACC Senior Scholastic Award and the Jim Tatum Award as the ACC’s top senior scholar-athlete. In 2006, Young was inducted into the Clemson Athletics Hall of Fame. He received his master’s and Ph.D. in educational leadership from Clemson while working within the athletic department as a graduate assistant and administrator  before earning his current title as associate athletic director of administration.
