A four-year starter at linebacker for Illinois State, Adam Waugh accumulated 320 career total tackles and finished second on the team in tackles his junior and senior years, registering 101 and 83 stops, respectively. A two-time First Team Academic All-American and three-time First Team Academic All-MVFC selection, he maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA in political science and was a regular member of the Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. Waugh served as a graduate assistant at the University of Pittsburgh in 2002 and coached safeties at Army from 2003-08. After one season as the safeties coach at Cal Poly, he most recently served as the co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach at Louisiana-Monroe.
