A four-year starter at tight end for Nebraska, Tracey Wistrom led the Cornhuskers to a 42-9 record, a Big 12 title and victories in the 2000 Fiesta Bowl and 2000 Alamo Bowl. He also helped Nebraska to an appearance in the 2002 Rose Bowl, which served as the 2001 BCS National Championship Game. A two-time Third Team All-American and three-time All-Big 12 selection, he finished his career as Nebraska’s all-time tight end receiving yardage leader after hauling in 58 passes for 1,150 yards. Wistrom received the Guy Chamberlain Trophy, which is presented to the senior Nebraska player who has shown by the play and contributions to the betterment of the team that he has the qualities and dedication of Guy Chamberlin to the Cornhusker tradition. A First Team Academic All-American and three-time First Team Academic All-Big 12 selection, Wistrom was a four-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. He graduated with a degree in mathematics.

Wistrom was drafted in the seventh round of the 2002 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has served as a graduate assistant on North Dakota State’s football coaching staff and as a student leader at Lincoln Northwest High School (Neb.) Wistrom had his jersey retired by his alma mater Webb City High School in 2006. He is the brother of College Football Hall of Famer and 1997 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Grant Wistrom.
