A three-year starter at cornerback for College Football Hall of Fame coach John Cooper at Ohio State, Ahmed Plummer led the Buckeyes to a 27-10 record, a Big Ten title and a 24-14 victory over Texas A&M in the 1999 Sugar Bowl. A First Team All-Big Ten selection and team MVP, he ranks second in school history in career pass breakups (34) and sixth in career interceptions (14). After recording a school-record 17 pass breakups in 1998, Plummer was named a team co-captain for 1999. A First Team Academic All-American and four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, he doubled as a business and human resources major. Plummer was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 24th overall pick of the 2000 NFL Draft and started 68 games for the 49ers from 2000-05. He recorded 317 total tackles, 45 pass deflections and 12 interceptions in his career.
