A three-year starter at cornerback for College Football Hall of Fame coach John Cooper at Ohio State, Ahmed Plummer led the Buckeyes to a 27-10 record, a Big Ten title and a 24-14 victory over Texas A&M in the 1999 Sugar Bowl. A First Team All-Big Ten selection and team MVP, he ranks second in school history in career pass breakups (34) and sixth in career interceptions (14). After recording a school-record 17 pass breakups in 1998, Plummer was named a team co-captain for 1999. A First Team Academic All-American and four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, he doubled as a business and human resources major. Plummer was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 24^th overall pick of the 2000 NFL Draft and started 68 games for the 49ers from 2000-05. He recorded 317 total tackles, 45 pass deflections and 12 interceptions in his career.
