A four-year starter at safety for Texas Tech, Keith Cockrum led the Red Raiders to a 26-20 record and appearances in the 1996 Alamo Bowl and the 1998 Independence Bowl, where he received the 1998 Independence Bowl Scholar-Athlete Award. An Academic All-American and four-time First Team Academic All-Big 12 selection, he compiled a perfect 4.0 GPA in information systems, finance and economics and made the President’s List every year. Cockrum racked up 189 total tackles in his career. From 2001-10, he worked with Lone Star Partners, a commercial real estate development and investment company in Houston. Cockrum currently runs his own travel blog.
