1MIT defensive tackle Brad Gray earned Honorable Mention All-America, All-New England and Eastern College Football Conference Player of the Year honors in 1997 after accumulating a school record 18.5 single-season tackles for loss and leading the team with 6.5 sacks and 80 tackles. A Second Team All-ECAC selection and ECAC All-Star, he ranks second in school history in career sacks (18) and single-game sacks (3) and fourth in career tackles for loss (29). A two-time First Team Academic All-American, Gray compiled a perfect 4.0 GPA in chemical engineering and was named the Academic All-American of the Year in 1997. He received the Marshall Scholarship and the Walter Byers Scholarship, awarded to the top scholar-athlete in the NCAA at all divisions.  Gray received a degree in economics and management from the University of Oxford and is currently the president and CEO of NanoString Technologies, a publicly held provider of life science tools for translational research and molecular diagnostics.
