A three-year starting quarterback at Illinois Wesleyan, Lon Erickson led the Titans to a 24-5 record, two CCIW titles and an appearance in the 1996 Division III Quarterfinals. The recipient of the 1996 Gagliardi Trophy as Division III’s most outstanding player, he set school records for career passing touchdowns (62), single-season total offense (3,029) and single-game touchdown passes (6). The team leader in passing in 1994 (1,599), 1995 (2,115) and 1996 (2,551), Erickson ranks second in career pass completions (495) and total offense (7,299) and third in career passing yards (6,538) and completion percentage (58.5). A three-time All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin selection, he was named the 1996 CCIW MVP after leading the conference in both passing yards and total offense. A First Team Academic All-American, Erickson compiled a 3.9 GPA in economics. He earned his MBA from the University of Chicago in 2003 and is currently a portfolio manager and managing director for Thornburg Investment Management in Santa Fe, N.M.
