A two-year captain with a 3.94 GPA, Dr.Trevor Adams was a leader on the field and in the classroom. He became the second NFF National Scholar-Athlete from Northwest Missouri State.

A double major in biology and psychology, Dr. Adams has twice earned Academic All-American and All-District honors. In 2013, he was named the Division II Academic All-American of the Year and appeared on both the NMSU President’s and Dean’s lists. One of NMSU’s greatest ambassadors in the community, Dr. Adams participated as a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leadership Team for four years, serving the last two summers in their internship program as an impact program director. Dr. Adams became a licensed chiropractor at Park University, a private chiropractic college in Dallas. 

Having thrown for 4,726 yards and 44 touchdowns before entering his senior season, Dr. Adams was nearing the top five in both categories in the NMSU record books. A member of the Bearcats’ 2010 MIAA championship team, he earned Honorable Mention All-MIAA honors in 2012, and he led NMSU to the 2011 Division II playoffs. The 2013 MIAA Offensive Player of the Year, Adams led NMSU to a perfect 15-0 record and a Division II national championship in his senior season. 

Dr. Adams and his wife, Bailey, have a chiropractic practice in the Dallas-Forth Worth Area, called Vertical Chiropractic.
