A two-time All-American and First Team All-Midwest Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection, Saint John’s (Minn.) wide receiver Chris Palmer set school records for career games of 200+ receiving yards (3), career yards per reception (19.2) and single-season receiving yards per game (119.7). He also ranks second in school history in career receiving yards (3,162), career games of 100+ receiving yards (15) and career receiving yards per game (85.5), and third in career receptions (165) and career receiving touchdowns (36). The 1995 MIAC MVP, Palmer was the team leader in receiving with 71 catches for 1,197 yards and 13 touchdowns. A four-year performer under College Football Hall of Fame coach John Gagliardi, Palmer helped the Johnnies to a 39-5-2 record, three MIAC titles and two Division II Semifinals appearances.  A two-time First Team Academic All-American, he maintained a 3.94 GPA in biology and made the Dean’s List every semester. Palmer earned his M.D. from the University of Minnesota and completed his residency at the Hennepin County (Minn.) Medical Center. He currently specializes in sports injuries at North Memorial Health Care in Robbinsdale, Minn.
