The Midwestern State team leader in tackles in 1994 (84) and 1995 (116), linebacker Corby Walker ranks second in school history in single-season tackles (116) and seventh in career tackles (242). A Second Team All-American and two-time All-Texas Intercollegiate Athletic Association selection, he holds the school record for single-game tackles (24) and led the team in interceptions in 1995 (4). A two-time Academic All-American and Academic All-TIAA selection, Walker compiled a 3.92 GPA in accounting and was listed in Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities. He volunteered with the school’s Partners in Education program and the College Day Preview. Walker is the owner of San-Tex Homes, San-Tex Renovations and San-Tex Rental Co., all based in San Antonio.
