A captain of the 1995 Bethel (Kan.) football team, tight end Jonathan Zerger started every game of his career. Compiling a 3.95 GPA in physics and mathematics, he was chosen by the National Science Foundation to perform undergraduate research in physics. Zerger earned his master’s in physics from the University of Michigan in 2001 and his J.D. from the University of Kansas in 2004. He is currently a general counsel for Excel Industries, Inc., a world leader in turf care products.
