Compiling a 3.89 GPA in business administration and marketing at Illinois, defensive tackle Daniel Gregus was a three-time Academic All-American. A co-captain of the 1982 Illini, he was a Second Team All-Big Ten selection. The Defensive MVP of the 1981 team, he led the team in fumble recoveries and recorded 13 sacks in his junior season. Gregus earned his J.D. from Illinois in 1986 and has worked with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Chicago since 1998, working his way up to his current post as director of the Chicago office.
