A four-year starter at quarterback for Arkansas State, Tim Langford led the team in passing yards every season and ranks eighth in school history in career plays (899). The team leader in total offense in 1981 (873), 1982 (756) and 1983 (1,729), he is 12th in program history in career yardage (3,745). A Second Team All-Southland Conference selection and the Offensive Homecoming MVP, Langford led the 1983 squad in scoring (54). A three-time Academic All-Southland Conference selection, he received the Terry Gwin Scholar-Athlete Award and the McDonald Scholarship.

Langford graduated magna cum laude from Arkansas State with a bachelor’s degree in zoology and received his M.D. from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He has been with Arkansas Urology since 1993. A 2007 inductee into the Arkansas State Ring of Honor and 2008 inductee into the Arkansas State Hall of Honor, Langford is the namesake of Langford Sports Medicine Center, after making a significant donation in 2004. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees.
