A four-year letterman and three-year starter at cornerback for Harvard, Brian Bergstrom was among the defensive stars in the Ivy League and led the Crimson in interceptions in 1983 (3). He helped Harvard to an 18-9-3 record and two consecutive Ivy League titles. Boasting a 3.64 GPA in economics, he was named a First Team Academic All-American and received the Harvard College Scholarship, the John Harvard Scholarship and the Richard Perkins Parker Prize. Bergstrom earned a degree in philosophy from the University of Cambridge in 1986 and his J.D. from Harvard in 1989. Since 1998, he has been a senior member for Shuttlesworth & Ingersoll, P.L.C., a law firm in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Bergstrom was named Cedar Rapids "Lawyer of the Year" for mergers and acquisitions law in 2015 and for corporate law in 2011 by Best Lawyers in America. He was also listed in the Best Lawyers in America for corporate law, leveraged buyouts and private equity law, mergers & acquisitions law and venture capital law.
