A four-year letterwinner and two-year starter for College Football Hall of Fame head coach Earle Bruce at Ohio State, David Crecelius helped the Buckeyes to a 36-12 record, two Big Ten titles and victories in the 1981 Liberty Bowl, the 1982 Holiday Bowl and the 1984 Fiesta Bowl. An Academic All-American and three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, he made the Dean’s List seven times and compiled a 3.42 GPA in mechanical engineering. In 1996, he was inducted into the Ashland County (Ohio) Sports Hall of Fame.
