A four-year letterman and two-year starter at center for College Football Hall of Fame head coach Don James at Washington, Dan Eernissee helped the Huskies to a 29-7 record, two Pac-10 titles and victories in the 1982 Rose Bowl and the 1982 Holiday Bowl. Co-captain of the 1984 squad, he received the John P. Angel Award as the team’s top lineman and was selected to play in the Japan Bowl. A two-time Academic All-Pac-10 selection, Eernissee compiled a 3.7 GPA in business administration and received the 101 Club Scholarship Award as Washington’s top scholar-athlete. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, he made the Dean’s List every semester. Eernissee was a member of the University Christian Union and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, serving as president from 1982-83. He earned his master’s in theology in 1989 from Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He currently serves as the Economic Development Director for the city of Everett, Washington.
