Boasting a 3.47 GPA in finance at Oklahoma, linebacker Evan Gatewood was a member of the Academic All-Big 8 team, the Business School Honor Roll and the Dean’s Honor Roll. He teamed up with 2015 College Football Hall of Fame inductee Brian Bosworth to form one of the finest linebacker cores in the nation. Gatewood helped the sooners to a 39-8-1 record, three Big 8 titles, victories in the 1986 and 1987 Orange Bowls and a National Championship under College Football Hall of Fame head coach Barry Switzer. He earned his J.D. from Oklahoma in 1989 and is currently a partner with Hayes, Magrini & Gatewood, a law firm in Oklahoma City.
