The co-captain and team MVP of the 1986 Wabash (Ind.) football team, linebacker Jay Herrmann accumulated 114 total tackles, which ranks fifth in school history. A Second Team All-American, he ranks fourth in school history in career total tackles (345). A Second Team Academic All-American, Herrmann earned his M.D. in 1991 from the Northwestern University Medical School, where he also completed his internship and residency. He is currently a dermatologist for DuPage Medical Group in Illinois.
