A three-time All-Midwest Conference selection, center Daniel Cotter helped Monmouth (Ill.) to a 22-15 record and an appearance in the 1987 Midwest Conference Championship game. He helped flip a program that endured seven consecutive losing seasons into a Midwest Conference powerhouse that posted a 34-5 record and appeared in three straight conference championships from 1986-89. A Second Team Academic All-American, Cotter compiled a 3.71 GPA. He won the football team’s prestigious McClintock Award and was Blue Key’s Senior Man of the Year. Cotter is currently a partner at the Chicago law firm Butler, Rubin, Saltarelli & Boyd, and he also serves on the Board of Trustees for his alma mater. He was honored as Monmouth’s Distinguished Young Alumnus in 2001 and inducted into the Monmouth Athletics Hall of Fame in 2002.
