Hanover (Ind.) center Brian Crites played a major role in the 1986 team that finished 8-2 and reached the NAIA National Playoffs. He also blocked for quarterback Jon Pinnick, who set nearly every Hanover passing record. Crites graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in chemistry and received his M.D. from the Indiana University School of Medicine. After completing his internship and residency at Duke University, he completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Maryland, while serving as a team physician for the university and the Baltimore Ravens. He is currently a physician at Capital Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Clive, Iowa. Crites is board certified in sports medicine and is a team physician for the Iowa Energy, the Iowa Barnstormers, Graceland University and William Penn University.
