A four-year starting tight end for College Football Hall of Fame coach Herb Deromedi at Central Michigan, Bob Stebbins helped the Chippewas to a 25-15-2 record while earning Academic All-MAC honors every year. A 1987 All-MAC selection, he caught 79 career passes for 1,069 yards and two touchdowns. Named a Second Team Academic All-American, Stebbins compiled a 3.87 GPA in history and made the Honor Roll every semester. He was a member of the Curriculum Committee and the Student Exchange Program, and he volunteered with the Special Olympics. Stebbins earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1993 and was a partner in the corporate and financial services department of the international law firm Willkie, Farr & Gallagher, LLP from 1993 to May 2017. He has served as General Counsel of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission since May 2017.
