A two-time team captain at Furman, defensive end Tim Stepp helped the Paladins to a 34-12-2 record, a Southern Conference title and an appearance in the 1985 Division I-AA National Championship. He recorded 204 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, four interceptions and two fumble recoveries in his career. Stepp earned his B.S. in mathematics and physics from Furman and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech in 1988. He has worked as an engineer for more than two decades and is currently a field sales engineer for Analog Devices in San Diego.
