A 1996 inductee of the Bethany College (Kan.) Athletic Hall of Honor, former Swede tight end Patrick Wempe spent a 30+year career as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Army. His career included numerous combat deployments and over fifteen years in Special Operations organizations, retiring in 2022.  He played for the Swedes under College Football Hall of Fame coach Ted Kessinger.”
