A co-captain of the 1989 Boston College football team, quarterback Mark Kamphaus ranks second in school history in single-season completion percentage (65.3), sixth in career completion percentage (57.1) and 21st in school history in career passing yards (2,422). He completed 193-of-338 passes with 23 touchdowns in three seasons in the rotation of starting quarterbacks. Compiling a 3.4 GPA in finance, Kamphaus received the Thomas F. Scanlan Memorial Trophy as the team’s most outstanding senior scholar-athlete. He played one season in the Arena Football League with the Albany Firebirds, completing 21-of-50 passes for 186 yards and three touchdowns.
