A four-year starter at offensive tackle for Ohio State, Joe Staysniak led College Football Hall of Fame coach John Cooper’s Buckeyes to a 28-17-2 record, a Big Ten title and a 28-12 victory in the 1987 Cotton Bowl over Texas A&M. A co-captain of the 1989 squad, he was named First Team All-Big Ten and was invited to play in the Hula Bowl. An Academic All-American and four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, Staysniak compiled a 3.5 GPA in marketing and was a regular member of the Dean’s List. He was selected in the seventh round (185th overall) of the 1990 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. Staysniak played six seasons with the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals from 1991-96, starting in 33 of 63 games. He appeared in Super Bowl XXVI with the Bills. Staysniak is currently a co-host of the Grady & Big Joe Show on ESPN FM 107.5 and a contributor to WIBC FM 93.1 in Indianapolis.
