NFF National Scholar-Athletes
The brother of 1988 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Ed Tingstad, linebacker Mark Tingstad holds Arizona State school records for single-season total tackles (172) and single-season solo tackles (114). An Honorable Mention All-American and two-time Second Team All-Pac-10 selection, the two-year team captain helped the Sun Devils to a 29-14-3 record, a Pac-10 title and victories in the 1987 Rose Bowl and 1987 Freedom Bowl. A two-time Academic All-American and four-time Academic All-Pac-10 selection, Tingstad compiled a 3.4 GPA in accounting. He is currently the vice president of finance and tax for Intracorp Capital in Seattle.
