A three-year letterman at wide receiver for Holy Cross, John Lavalette helped the Crusaders to a 28-4-1 record and two Patriot League titles. A Second Team Academic All-American, he compiled a 3.5 GPA in mathematics and pre-med and made the Dean’s List every year. Lavalette earned his M.D. in 1995 from the University of Connecticut, where he also completed his residency. He is currently a pediatric doctor at Smart Start Pediatrics in Glastonbury, Conn.
