A First Team Academic All-American and three-time Academic All-Big Sky selection, Idaho State safety Steve Boyenger compiled a 3.95 GPA in political science and was a member of the Dean’s List all four years. A two-year starter for the Bengals, he served as a co-captain for the 1991 season. After earning his master’s in international relations from the University of Maryland, Boyenger spent five years working for Trus Joist MacMillan, a Boise, Idaho, company that manufactures residential and commercial construction products. He is currently a deputy director at Ada County (Idaho) Pharmaceuticals, where he oversees the financial and administrative functions of the department, including the billing office, logistics, compliance functions and policy and procedure development.
