A transfer from Army, running back Paul Capriotti made a quick impact at the University of Maine, earning the team’s Outstanding Offensive Player Award in his first season after rushing for 727 yards. A co-captain of the 1991 Black Bears, he led the team in scoring (56) and rushing yards (823), earning team MVP honors. Capriotti ranks 16th in school history in career rushing yards (1,550). A member of the Dean’s List every semester, he compiled a Yankee Conference-best 3.75 GPA. Capriotti is currently a psychiatry specialist in Lisle, IL.
