A transfer from Army, running back Paul Capriotti made a quick impact at the University of Maine, earning the team’s Outstanding Offensive Player Award in his first season after rushing for 727 yards. A co-captain of the 1991 Black Bears, he led the team in scoring (56) and rushing yards (823), earning team MVP honors. Capriotti ranks 16^th in school history in career rushing yards (1,550). A member of the Dean’s List every semester, he compiled a Yankee Conference-best 3.75 GPA. Capriotti is currently a psychiatry specialist in Lisle, IL.
