A three-year performer at middle guard under College Football Hall of Fame coach Tom Osborne at Nebraska, Pat Englebert helped the Cornhuskers to a 28-7-1 record, a Big 8 title and three-bowl appearances. A two-time Second Team All-Big 8 selection, he accumulated 134 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss and seven sacks. A two-time Academic All-American and three-time Academic All-Big 8 selection, Englebert compiled a 3.59 GPA in civil engineering and made the Dean’s List every semester. After earning his master’s in civil engineering from Nebraska in 1993, he began working as a water resources engineer for HDR Engineering, Inc., an architectural, engineering and consulting firm based in Omaha, Neb. Englebert is currently the vice president of HDR.
