A four-year letterman at Ashland Unviersity (Ohio), nose guard Jerry Spatny helped the Eagles to a 33-10-1 record while twice earning All-America and All-Midwest Intercollegiate Football Conference honors. A First Team Academic All-American, he compiled a 3.89 GPA in psychology and made the Dean’s List every semester. Spatny earned his master’s in clinical psychology from Ball State in 1997 and is currently the deputy warden of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
