A Fulton, Mo., native, David Gill started at right tackle for Missouri in 1962 and 1963, earning the team’s Lineman of the Year award in 1963. A mathematics major and a physics minor, he achieved a 3.07 GPA. Gill was a member of the freshman honorary academic society, honorary math fraternity and scholastic and leadership fraternity. He served as president of the Presbyterian Student Fellowship and governor of his residence hall. A member of one of the two honorary senior fraternities, Gill was selected to the Academic All-Big 8 team in 1963.
