One of the four captains of the 1965 TCU squad, Dan Jones excelled as a halfback for the Horned Frogs for three seasons. He maintained a 3.64 GPA in biology, and he played a key role in leading TCU to the 1965 Sun Bowl. Jones completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern, and he did his internship and residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He still practices in Fort Worth, specializing in internal medicine.
