A Wenatchee, Wash., native, Michael Ryan played three seasons at Washington, and he was named the outstanding senior man on campus. The All-AAWU guard was also named the outstanding Board of Control member and the chairman of the Campus Course Critique Evaluation Committee.

Ryan was a member of the Fir Tree, the Oval Club, the Purple Shield, the Big W Club and the Phi Delta Theta social fraternity. He was a Distinguished Military Student and a member of Scabbard and Blade. Ryan received his bachelor’s in economics from Washington and his law degree from Harvard. He is now a partner for Allen Matkins, a law firm in California.
