A co-captain and defensive star for Arizona, Mike Moody not only earned his varsity “A” but also his academic A’s. An Academic All-American, he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and three national honor societies. Moody played an integral role in the Wildcats’ Sun Bowl berth in 1968, earning Second Team All-WAC honors. A two-time WAC Scholar-Athlete, he was twice named to the Academic All-WAC team. Moody received his J.D. degree from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1972. He was Editor-In-Chief of the Arizona Law Review and was awarded membership in the Order of the Coif. After graduating, he served as a law clerk to Judges Thomas Stewart and Victor Carlson in Juneau, Alaska. He then gained courtroom experience as an assistant public defender in Anchorage. Moody has been a member of the Alaska Bar since 1972 and has practiced with the firm of Atkinson, Conway & Gagnon, Inc., since 1975. He is also a member of the State Bar of Arizona.
