A three-year letterman for Georgia, Tim Callaway received The Coffee County Award in 1969 for outstanding team effort. He matched those efforts in the classroom, boasting a 3.44 GPA as a marketing major and earning Academic All-SEC honors in 1969. A leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Callaway also served as secretary treasurer of the G Club. He served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1970-72 and returned to Georgia to earn his law degree. In 1976, Callaway started Callaway, Braun, Riddle & Hughes law firm in Savannah, Ga., where he continues to practice today.
