Compiling a 3.7 GPA as a pre-med student at Colorado School of Mines, David Chambers won Academic All-America honors as a junior and was a member of the school’s Honor Roll every semester. He served as a volunteer official for the Denver Baptist Youth League and as a member of the Letterman’s Club. Chambers was also named All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference as a fullback for the Orediggers. He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine and has been in practice for 36 years. Chambers founded and is the president of Center for Science in Public Participation, a corporation formed to provide technical assistance on mining and water quality to public interest groups.
