UCLA’s successor at quarterback after John Sciarra, a College Football Hall of Famer and 1975 NFF National Scholar-Athlete, Jeff Dankworth led the team in total offensive yards (1,681), passing yards (866), pass efficiency (115.0) and punt return yards (108), earning First Team All-America and All-Pac 8 honors. Named the school’s Rookie of the Year in 1974 and co-captain in 1976, he holds the school record for single-season rushing yards by a quarterback (815) and ranks second in school history in career rushing yards by a quarterback (1,233).

The MVP of the 1976 Bruins, Dankworth ranks third in school history with 11 career rushing touchdowns by a quarterback. Collecting multiple Back of the Week honors from various sources, he finished 10th in the 1976 Heisman Trophy voting. Compiling a 3.5 GPA in history, Dankworth was named to the Dean’s Honor List and was nominated as Outstanding Senior. He served as the director of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Youth Sports Program.

Dankworth serves as General Counsel at MelRoK, Inc., and has served as President of StarGuide Digital Network, Inc., a subsidiary of Digital Generation Systems Inc., since 1995. Prior to co-founding StarGuide in 1994, Dankworth was an entrepreneur in the entertainment media and professional sports industries where he led the development of various media joint ventures in professional sports including the NFL Quarterback Club. From 1984-94, he was of Counsel with the law firm of Mitchell, Silberberg & Knupp and prior to that was an associate with the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher from 1981-84. Dankworth serves as Chairman of Newdea and as a Board Member at MelRoK, Inc. He served as a Director of Digital Generation Systems Inc. from 2001-03 and StarGuide Digital Network, Inc. since 1995.
