A standout guard at Brigham Young under College Football Hall of Fame head coach LaVell Edwards, Steve Miller helped the Cougars to a 9-3 record, a WAC title and a Tangerine Bowl appearance in 1976.  Compiling a 3.8 GPA as a pre-med student, he was named a 1976 Academic All-American. Miller served as president of the Latter Day Saints Institute and fulfilled an LDS mission in Brazil. He received his M.D. from the University of Calgary in 1980. Miller served as the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer at Network Health in Calgary from 1996-2010. He now serves as the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Calgary South Hospital.
