The first player in Air Force football history to accumulate 400 career tackles, Thomas Foertsch currently ranks second in program history in career tackles (469) and single-season tackles (184). A three-year starter at linebacker for the Falcons, he was named co-captain, team MVP and Air Force Male Athlete of the Year for the 1978 season.  Foertsch also ranks third in single-game tackles after recording 25 against the eventual National Champion Notre Dame Fighting Irish in 1977. An Academic All-American, he compiled a 3.54 GPA in civil engineering and made the Superintendent’s List four semesters. He has been a pilot for Delta Airlines for over 31 years.
