A four-year starting defensive lineman at Purdue, Ken Loushin was a two-time First Team All-Big Ten selection and a participant in the Japan Bowl. He ranks fifth in school history in single game tackles for loss (5), 10th in career tackles for loss (42), 14th in single-season tackles for loss (18, 1979) and 19th in career tackles (301). A two-time Academic All-American and Academic All-Big Ten selection, Loushin compiled a 3.2 GPA in civil engineering and made the Dean’s List every semester. Under College Football Hall of Fame head coach Jim Young, Loushin helped the Boilermakers to a 29-16-1 and victories in the 1978 Peach Bowl and 1979 Bluebonnet Bowl.
