Compiling a 3.79 GPA in accounting at Kentucky, offensive guard Leon Shadowen Jr. was an All-America and Academic All-SEC selection in 1979, and he received the UK Senior Scholastic Award. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Beta Alpha Psi, Beta Gamma Sigma and the Student Bar Association. Shadowen earned law degrees from Kentucky and New York University and became a licensed attorney in the Commonwealths of Kentucky and Virginia. Shadowen joined Brandywine Realty Trust in 1999 and currently serves as Vice President of Development for the Richmond, Va., and Austin, Texas, regions.

Shadowen currently serves on the board and as Chair of the Asset Management Committee of Virginia Supportive Housing and serves as the Board Vice President of the Virginia Commonwealth University Real Estate Foundation. He is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the VCU Real Estate Circle of Excellence and the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate.
