Ron Manno was a three-year letterman at the University of Utah from 1960-62. A native of the Garden State, the undersized but gritty guard was All-South Jersey in 1958 at Bridgeton High School, and he went on to be an All-America selection while at Utah. The team captain, Manno was known as one of the finest guards in the Western Athletic Conference.

Manno was a dedicated student who maintained a B+ average while playing football and studying health, physical education and pre-medical studies. A regular on the honor roll, Manno was an applicant for a Rhodes Scholarship.

The Rosehayn, N.J., native returned home after graduation, becoming president of Core Care Technologies a community-based home medical equipment company, which provides equipment and supplies to senior citizens and the disabled population.
