Only the second Sun Devil in history to have multiple seasons with more than 3,000 passing yards, Taylor Kelly has broken numerous records in his career at Arizona State. The two-year team captain becomes the fourth NFF National Scholar-Athlete in Arizona State annals.

A 2014 Academic All-District selection and two-time Academic All-Pac-12 honoree, Kelly has been named a Scholar Baller six times for achieving at least a 3.0 GPA. The Eagle, Idaho, native graduated this past May with a degree in education and is currently working towards a master’s of legal studies focusing on sports law and business.

A 2013 Second-Team All-Pac-12 performer, Kelly recorded 45 touchdowns throughout the 2012 and 2013 seasons, the most ever for any ASU quarterback in a two-year span. He broke the school record for points responsible for in a season (222) and single-season completion percentage (67.1) in 2013. The two-time recipient of the Danny White Offensive MVP Award, he set the Sun Devil record for most consecutive completions in a single game with 18 against Washington State in 2012, and his 3,635 passing yards in 2013 ranks third all-time in school history. He has now recorded 660 completions for 8,203 yards and 71 touchdowns in his standout career.

A member of the football team leadership council, Kelly has also served as a student ambassador for ASU and represented the Sun Devils at Pac-12 Media Day. He delivered season tickets to area fans, and speaks to numerous schools about the importance of integrity, character and academics. Kelly helps develop curriculum and mentor students as part of Scholar Baller’s leadership and outreach program. He is currently an offensive graduate assistant at his alma mater.
