Chuck Dicus played end on offense for Arkansas 1968-70. He made All-Southwest Conference three times and was All-America his last two years. He played under Frank Broyles, Hall of Fame coach. Arkansas had a 28-5 record in the Dicus years. The 1968 team beat Georgia 16-2 in the Sugar Bowl. Dicus caught 12 passes for 169 yards and was named Most Valuable Player in the bowl. Dicus caught 38 passes in his first year, 42 the second year, and 38 the third. The total, 118, was the school record for 25 years. His yardage, 1854, was the school record for 16 years. He averaged 16 yards on each catch. His longest play was 73 yards against Texas Christian in 1969. He caught nine passes against Texas in 1969, nine against Texas Christian in 1969, and eight against Rice in 1968. Dicus was named to his school's all-century team, to the Razorback Hall of Honor, and the State of Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame. He played in the National Football League with San Diego and Pittsburgh 1971-73.
