Rod Cason was a three time NAIA All American selection. He helped Angelo State to three winning seasons and, in 1971, a berth in the NAIA semifinal playoffs. He was captain in 1971. Cason played with the New England Patriots, then had a career as a high school teacher and coach. He went into the oil industry and became an operations superintendent.
