Five To Receive On-Campus Salutes

The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame, the alma maters of Tom Brown, Brad Calip, Willie Richardson and Joe Theismann, as well as the school where legendary coach Roy Kidd once roamed the sidelines will pay tribute to their 2003 College Football Hall of Fame inductees with an On-Campus Salutes this Saturday.

The University of Minnesota will pay tribute to Tom Brown when they face BIG TEN rival Michigan State. East Central University will honor their former All-America quarterback, Brad Calip when they host Central Oklahoma. Willie Richardson will be recognized during Jackson State's clash with Southern. The University of Notre Dame will honor legendary quarterback Joe Theismann when the Fighting Irish take on USC. Also, Coach Roy Kidd will be recognized by Eastern Kentucky University when they meet Southeast Missouri State University.

All four ceremonies will held this Saturday, Oct. 18 at halftime of the respective games. In addition to being recognized on the field on which they once played, an official College Football Hall of Fame plaque will be presented to each University for their permanent display to commemorate induction.

The rest of the 2003 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be honored with On-Campus Salutes at their respective alma maters throughout the remainder 2003 college football season.
