Class, the National Football Foundation highlights members on the Hall of Fame
Ballot. The 2012 Class will be announced on May 15 in New York City.

YEARS: 1989-91
ATHLETIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Coleman was named a First Team
All-American by the Football Writer’s Association of America and Scripps Howard
in 1991, and received Second Team honors from the Associated Press, UPI and the
Sporting News. A finalist for the
Butkus Award in 1991, Coleman helped the Rambling Wreck finish 11-0-1 and claim
the national championship in 1990. The two-time First Team All-ACC selection ranks
among the top dozen sacks leaders in league history. He also places third in
school history with 28 career sacks, and recorded the sixth-most sacks in
Georgia Tech single-season history when he posted 10 in 1991. Coleman guided
the Yellow Jackets to a 26-9-1 overall mark and appearances in the Citrus Bowl following
the 1990 season and the Aloha Bowl after the 1991 campaign.
CIVIC SERVICE: Coleman contributes to several charities, serves as
a volunteer high school coach and a volunteer at a local YMCA.
NOTABLES: Coleman played a cameo role opposite Jim Carrey
in the 1994 comedy “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective”.
