Former TCU running back Kent Waldrep, who was paralyzed 39 years ago in a game against Alabama, is mobile again thanks to a new, specially equipped van he received with the help of the college football community. John Moritz Cadillac-Oldsmobile (Texas) donated the van, which was partially funded by TCU coach Gary Patterson and his wife Kelsey, College Football Hall of Famer Doug English (Texas) and numerous others inspired by Waldrep's story. Waldrep has helped raise millions of dollars for paralysis research, was integral in the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act and serves on the College Football Assistance Fund committee.
