2022 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Update - Week 11

Pictured: Michael Wozniak and Saint John's (MN) won the MIAC Championship and earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Division III Playoffs.
Updates on the on- and off-field success of the 2022 Campbell Trophy® Finalists/NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class Presented by Fidelity Investments following Week 10 games (Nov. 3-5). 

The William V. Campbell Trophy® is college football's premier scholar-athlete award that annually recognizes an individual as the absolute best in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership. The 15 finalists will each receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the 2022 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class Presented by Fidelity Investments®. 

The finalists will travel to Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas for the 64th NFF Annual Awards Dinner Presented by Las Vegas on Dec. 6, where their accomplishments will be highlighted in front of one of the most powerful audiences in all of sports. Live during the event, one member of the class will be declared as the winner of the 33rd Campbell Trophy® and have his postgraduate scholarship increased to $25,000.
 

Week 11 Updates

Iowa LB Jack Campbell
Campbell led the Hawkeyes with 11 tackles in a 24-10 win over Wisconsin. It was his sixth 10+ tackle game this season, and he currently leads the Big Ten with 100 tackles this year. Campbell was recently named the University of Iowa's Male Student-Athlete of the Month for October. Now bowl-eligible, Iowa will play at Minnesota this Saturday, Nov. 19, at 4 p.m. ET on FOX.

Auburn PK Anders Carlson
Carlson missed Auburn's 13-10 win over Texas A&M with an injury. The Tigers host Western Kentucky during Senior Day this Saturday, Nov. 19, at 4 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.

Dayton RB Jake Chisholm
Chisholm was named the Pioneer Football League Offensive Player of the Week after rushing 34 times for 205 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-27 win over Morehead State. It was his 14th career 100-yard rushing game, tying him with two others for the most in Dayton history. Chisholm has now surpassed 3,000 yards rushing in his career (3,172), and he is 40 yards away from being the first Dayton running back to have three 1,000 yard seasons. He currently leads the PFL in scoring (12.0)  while sitting second in rushing (96.0), and he is third in FCS football in carries (214). The Flyers (8-2, 6-1) close out the regular season at Davidson this Saturday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. ET on Davidson All-Access.

Chicago (IL) RB Nicholas D'Ambrose
D'Ambrose missed Chicago's season-finale loss to Lake Forest (IL). He finishes the year atop the Midwest Conference with 136.9 rushing yards per game and 17 rushing touchdowns on the season, which rank sixth and fourth in all of Division III, respectively. The Maroons finished the season with a 7-3 record. D'Ambrose finishes his career ranked first all-time at UChicago in rushing touchdowns (51) and scoring (318) while sitting third all-time in rushing yards (3,766).

Fordham LB Ryan Greenhagen
Greenhagen was tied for second on the team with seven tackles in Fordham's 45-10 win over Lafayette. Already the Rams' all-time leader in career solo tackles, he is just four tackles away from tying the school record for career tackles. The No. 21 Rams (8-2, 4-1 in Patriot League) close out the regular season this Saturday, Nov. 19, when they host Colgate at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN+. 

Yale DL Oso Ifesinachukwu
Ifesinachukwu missed Yale's 24-20 win over Princeton with an injury. The Bulldogs (7-2, 5-1 Ivy) will close out the season this Saturday, Nov. 19, in The Game for a chance to win an Ivy League title. Yale will play at Harvard at Noon ET on ESPNU. 

UTSA C Ahofitu Maka
Maka helped UTSA outgain Louisiana Tech 484 yards to 259 in a 51-7 win, extending the Roadrunners' winning streak to seven games. UTSA improves to an 8-2 overall record and a perfect 6-0 mark in Conference USA. UTSA will play at Rice this Saturday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

Kansas State QB Adrian Martinez
Martinez completed seven passes for 25 yards before exiting with an early injury in Kansas State's 31-3 win over Baylor. The 7-3 Wildcats sit in sole possession of second place in the Big 12 standings with a 5-2 mark in conference play. K-State will play at West Virginia this Saturday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m. ET on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. 

Holy Cross RB Peter Oliver
Oliver rushed for a season-high 140 yards and scored two touchdowns in Holy Cross' 36-29 win over Bryant. The No. 6 Crusaders, who last week won the Patriot League title, remain undefeated at 10-0 going into their regular-season finale at Georgetown this Saturday, Nov. 19, at 12:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+. 

Stanford OT Walter Rouse 
Rouse started in Stanford's loss to Utah. The Cardinal play at California this Saturday, Nov. 19, in the Big Game at 5:30 P.M. ET on the Pac-12 Networks.

Troy OL Austin Stidham
Stidham started his team-leading 58th career game while guiding the Trojans to a hard-fought 10-9 win over Army for their seventh-straight victory. The 8-2 Trojans sit tied atop the Sun Belt West Division standings with a 5-1record in conference play. Troy hosts UL Monroe this Saturday, Nov. 19, at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

Wayne State (MI) LB Julius Wilkerson
Wilkerson had five tackles in Wayne State's season-finale loss to Ferris State (MI). He finishes the 2022 season with 61 tackles. For his career, he posted 208 tackles, 17.5 TFL and seven sacks.

Mississippi State WR Austin Williams
Williams had two catches for 10 yards in Mississippi State's loss to Georgia. He has now played in a school-record 60 career games with 36 career starts, and he ranks sixth in MSU history with 142 career receptions. The Bulldogs will host East Tennessee State for Senior Day this Saturday, Nov. 19, at Noon ET on ESPN+/SEC Network+.

Johns Hopkins (MD) OL JR Woods
Woods helped Johns Hopkins outgain McDaniel (MD) 565 yards to 166 in a 44-7 win. The Blue Jays end the regular season at 9-1 overall and 8-1 in the Centennial Conference. Johns Hopkins will host Stevenson (MD) as part of the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series this Saturday, Nov. 19, at Noon ET on the Centennial Conference Digital Network.

Saint John's (MN) DL Michael Wozniak
Wozniak had five tackles, including a sack, to help Saint John's defeat Bethel (MN), 28-10, and claim its fourth-straight MIAC title. Wozniak finishes the regular season with nine sacks to lead the MIAC. The Johnnies (9-1, 7-1 MIAC) have earned one of the four No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Division III Playoffs, and they will host Northwestern-St. Paul (MN) in the first round this Saturday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. ET on Stretch Live.
